In 2003, a group of men from Maybole got together forming the Men's Health Forum group with the idea to try to help local men care more and become more knowledgeable about their health.

Lottery funding was obtained and group started up. Flyers were posted to every house in Maybole. Until recently the group were part funded by South Ayrshire. The group recently got a grant from the Scottish Community Foundation and this has secured the future for the group meantime.

The group has over the past years delivered flyers to every house in Maybole and surrounding local area, raised funds for the group by delivering leaflets and papers and also raised funds for charities by doing sponsored walks.
